Terms of Service
The agreement governing your access to and use of Scoutletic.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Scoutletic ("Scoutletic," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of our websites, mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Scoutletic is owned and operated by Lafoba.
By creating an account, purchasing a membership or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Scoutletic Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines & Child Safety Standards. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Scoutletic is intended for sports networking, athlete profiles and related activities. Certain athlete profiles may involve minors.
Children under 13 may not independently create or manage a Scoutletic account. An under-13 athlete may participate only through Scoutletic's parent/guardian account and consent process. For older minors, Scoutletic may require parental involvement, authorization or supervision based on applicable law, location, product configuration and the nature of the feature.
A parent or legal guardian who creates, manages, authorizes or purchases a membership for a minor represents that they have legal authority to do so and agrees to supervise the minor's use of the Services.
Scoutletic may request information reasonably necessary to verify age, identity, parental authority, professional affiliation or eligibility. We may restrict or terminate accounts that fail to satisfy applicable requirements.
3. Account Types and Registration
Scoutletic may offer Athlete, Parent, Scout, Coach, Manager, Team or other account types. Features and eligibility may differ by account type.
You must provide accurate information, keep it current and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. You may not impersonate another person, falsely claim an affiliation, misrepresent your age or professional status, transfer an account without permission, or access another person's account without authorization.
4. Platform Role; No Recruitment Guarantee
Scoutletic provides technology that allows users to create profiles, discover athletes and sports organizations, communicate and use related tools. Scoutletic is not an employment agency, sports agent, talent agent, educational institution, scholarship provider, governing body, college admissions office or guarantor of recruitment.
Scoutletic does not guarantee any scholarship, roster position, tryout, contract, transfer, admission, employment, visa, athletic eligibility, scouting exposure, response or other outcome. Users are responsible for independently evaluating opportunities and complying with governing-body, school, league, immigration, employment and eligibility rules.
5. User Identity, Credentials and Verification
Unless Scoutletic expressly states otherwise for a particular verification program, Scoutletic does not independently verify every user's identity, employment, criminal history, qualifications, team affiliation, scouting authority, coaching license or representations.
A "verified" badge or similar designation means only that the account satisfied the verification process Scoutletic specified for that badge at the time of verification. It is not an endorsement, background check, guarantee of current employment, guarantee of qualifications, guarantee of identity in all respects, or representation that a person is safe or trustworthy.
Users must independently exercise appropriate judgment before relying on another user's statements or credentials.
6. Minor Safety and Adult-Minor Interactions
Users must comply with the Scoutletic Community Guidelines & Child Safety Standards.
Adults must keep interactions with minors professional, sports-related and appropriate. No user may groom, sexually exploit, solicit sexual content from, threaten, coerce, blackmail or otherwise endanger a minor. Users must not pressure a minor to conceal communications from a parent or guardian or arrange an inappropriate private meeting.
Scoutletic does not supervise offline interactions. Minor athletes should not arrange in-person meetings with users encountered through Scoutletic without the knowledge and appropriate involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors in accordance with applicable law and reasonable safety practices.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Scoutletic ("User Content"), subject to the rights you grant below.
You grant Scoutletic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, transmit and display your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and provide the Services and to make the content available according to your selected settings and the functionality you use.
This operational license does not by itself authorize Scoutletic to use a minor's name, image or likeness in an unrelated external advertising campaign. Separate permission may be requested for promotional uses where appropriate.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to submit the User Content, including permission for images or videos depicting other people where required. You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that it complies with law and these Terms.
8. YouTube and External Media
Scoutletic may allow users to post links to YouTube videos and other permitted third-party media. You remain responsible for the link and the content you choose to associate with your profile. You must have the right to share it and must comply with applicable third-party terms and copyright law.
Scoutletic does not host or control YouTube content merely because a link or embedded player appears on a Scoutletic profile. Third-party content may become unavailable or may be removed by its provider without notice.
9. Acceptable Use
- Do not post, request, distribute or facilitate child sexual abuse material or child sexual exploitation.
- Do not groom, sexually solicit, exploit, harass, stalk, threaten, bully or blackmail another person.
- Do not impersonate a scout, coach, team, athlete, parent, organization or other person, or misrepresent credentials or affiliation.
- Do not publish another person's sensitive personal information without authorization, particularly a minor's precise location, home address or private contact information.
- Do not scrape, harvest, sell, compile or misuse user data or use automated means to access the Services without authorization.
- Do not send spam, scams, deceptive recruitment offers, fraudulent scholarship offers or malicious content.
- Do not upload malware, interfere with security, probe systems without authorization or attempt to bypass access controls.
- Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.
- Do not use the Services for unlawful activity or to facilitate conduct that violates applicable sports, safeguarding or recruiting rules.
10. Reporting, Blocking, Moderation and Enforcement
Scoutletic may provide tools to report users, messages and content and to block users. Reports should be made in good faith.
Scoutletic may, but is not obligated to pre-screen all User Content. To the extent permitted by law, we may investigate reports and use automated systems and human review to detect or address suspected violations.
We may remove or restrict content; reduce visibility; restrict messaging; revoke verification; issue warnings; freeze, suspend or terminate accounts; preserve relevant records; or take other reasonable action without prior notice when we believe it is necessary to enforce our policies, protect users, prevent abuse, comply with law or protect the Services.
Where appropriate or legally required, Scoutletic may report suspected child exploitation, threats, fraud or other unlawful conduct to law enforcement, regulators, child-safety organizations or other competent authorities.
11. Pro and Family Pro Memberships
Scoutletic may offer paid memberships, including Scoutletic Pro and Family Pro. Features, limits, eligibility, prices and billing periods are displayed at the time of purchase and may vary by platform, location or account type.
Unless the checkout clearly states otherwise, a paid membership that is described as recurring will automatically renew at the disclosed interval until canceled. By purchasing a recurring membership, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method associated with the subscription for each renewal, including applicable taxes.
You may cancel a subscription through the method identified at purchase. Web subscriptions processed through Stripe should be managed through Scoutletic's web billing flow or other provided Stripe-supported billing mechanism. Purchases made through Apple, Google or another marketplace may need to be canceled through that marketplace.
Cancellation normally prevents future renewal and does not retroactively refund the current paid period unless required by law or Scoutletic's stated refund policy. Deleting a Scoutletic account does not necessarily cancel a third-party marketplace subscription. The deletion flow and billing pages clearly explain this.
Scoutletic may change membership features or prices prospectively. For recurring subscriptions, required advance notice will be provided where applicable. Mandatory consumer cancellation, refund and renewal rights remain unaffected.
12. Payments
Payments may be processed by Stripe, Apple, Google or another disclosed payment provider. Scoutletic does not control the provider's independent payment systems. You agree to provide accurate billing information and to pay applicable charges and taxes.
Scoutletic may suspend paid features for failed, reversed, disputed or fraudulent payments, subject to applicable law. Chargebacks or payment disputes made in bad faith may result in account restrictions.
13. Advertising and Sponsored Content
Scoutletic may display advertisements, sponsorships and other promotional content from third parties and from Scoutletic. Paid advertisements may be identified using labels such as "Sponsored," "Ad" or similar disclosures. The appearance of third-party advertising does not necessarily constitute Scoutletic's endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of the advertiser or its products, services, claims or offers.
Advertisements may link to websites or services operated by third parties. Users should review third-party terms and privacy practices and exercise appropriate judgment before purchasing products or services, providing information, attending camps, tryouts or events, or otherwise interacting with an advertiser. Parents and guardians should supervise minors' interactions with advertisers and third-party services.
Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and substantiation of their advertising materials, claims and destination pages. Scoutletic may reject, remove, request changes to, pause, suspend or modify advertising placements that violate law, platform policy, safety requirements or Scoutletic standards. Advertising directed to or displayed in experiences used by minors must comply with applicable child-protection and advertising requirements. Businesses purchasing advertising from Scoutletic are also subject to the Scoutletic Advertising Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scoutletic is not responsible for third-party websites, products, services or transactions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
14. Intellectual Property
The Services, excluding User Content, including software, design, branding, text, graphics and Scoutletic trademarks, are owned by or licensed to Scoutletic/Lafoba and protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
15. Copyright Complaints
Scoutletic respects intellectual-property rights. A copyright owner or authorized agent may report allegedly infringing material to support@scoutletic.com with sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, contact information, a good-faith statement, and any other information required by applicable law.
16. Privacy
Scoutletic's handling of personal information is described in the Scoutletic Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Those policies are incorporated by reference where permitted by law.
17. Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services such as YouTube, Stripe and app marketplaces. Scoutletic does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent availability, content, security, terms or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate agreements.
18. No Professional Advice
Information available through Scoutletic is for general sports-networking and informational purposes. Unless expressly stated, Scoutletic does not provide legal, medical, financial, immigration, educational, NCAA/association eligibility, safeguarding or professional recruiting advice. Obtain appropriate professional advice when needed.
19. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." Scoutletic AND LAFOBA DISCLAIM WARRANTIES THAT MAY LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Scoutletic DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT USERS, CONTENT, RECRUITING OPPORTUNITIES, ADVERTISEMENTS OR THIRD-PARTY LINKS ARE ACCURATE, SAFE, AUTHENTIC OR SUITABLE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
20. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Scoutletic, LAFOBA AND THEIR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF Scoutletic AND LAFOBA FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO Scoutletic FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights and any liability for which exclusion or limitation is unlawful.
21. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Scoutletic, Lafoba and their affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your User Content, your infringement of another person's rights, or your material breach of these Terms.
If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent enforceable under applicable consumer law. Parents or guardians are not required to waive non-waivable rights relating to minors.
22. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Scoutletic at any time and may request account deletion.
Scoutletic may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe a user violated these Terms or our safety standards; presents a safety, fraud, security or legal risk; misrepresented identity or affiliation; failed to pay applicable charges; or where restriction is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Services or users.
Where appropriate, enforcement may occur without advance notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, indemnification and dispute provisions to the extent enforceable.
23. Changes to the Services and Terms
Scoutletic may modify the Services over time. We may update these Terms and will update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes. If applicable law requires affirmative consent to a material change, continued use alone will not substitute for that consent.
24. Governing Law and Disputes
Before filing a dispute, you are encouraged to contact support@scoutletic.com so the parties can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdictional rights that cannot be waived remain applicable.
25. General Terms
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Scoutletic's consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Scoutletic may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate transaction or restructuring, subject to law.
These Terms, together with incorporated policies and purchase-specific terms, form the agreement concerning the Services to the extent permitted by law.

27. Scope of Scoutletic Services and Legal Pages
These Terms apply to Scoutletic's public website at scoutletic.com, the authenticated Scoutletic platform at app.scoutletic.com, Scoutletic mobile applications, and related services and features.
Scoutletic intends to maintain one canonical public Terms of Service page at scoutletic.com/terms. app.scoutletic.com and Scoutletic mobile applications link to that page.
