Community Guidelines & Child Safety
Rules for safe, professional and appropriate participation on Scoutletic.
1. Our Safety Standard
Scoutletic is a sports networking and athlete-discovery platform used by athletes, parents, scouts, coaches, managers and teams. Some athletes are minors. Protecting children and maintaining professional sports-related interactions are core requirements for using Scoutletic.
These standards apply to profiles, messages, images, linked videos, team content, advertisements, reports and all other activity using the Services.
2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
Prohibited conduct includes grooming; sexual solicitation of a minor; requesting sexual or intimate images; sexual conversations directed at a minor; sextortion; trafficking; coercion; encouraging a minor to conceal inappropriate communications; or attempting to move a minor to another service for sexual or exploitative purposes.
Scoutletic may immediately remove content, restrict or terminate accounts, preserve relevant information and make reports to law enforcement, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or other competent authorities where required or appropriate under applicable law.
3. Adult-Minor Communication
- Keep communication professional and directly related to sports, recruiting, coaching, team activity or another legitimate Scoutletic purpose.
- Respect parent/guardian involvement and any parent-managed communication controls.
- Do not ask a minor to keep communications secret from a parent or guardian.
- Do not request sexual, intimate or inappropriate photographs, videos or conversations.
- Do not pressure a minor to move communications to a private service to avoid parental or Scoutletic oversight.
- Do not arrange an inappropriate private meeting with a minor.
- Do not use threats, gifts, promises of recruitment, scholarships or opportunities to pressure or manipulate a minor.
4. Meetings and Recruiting Safety
Scoutletic does not supervise offline meetings. Minors should not arrange in-person meetings with adults encountered through Scoutletic without the knowledge and appropriate involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians should independently verify recruiting opportunities, identities, affiliations and meeting arrangements. A Scoutletic verification badge is not a safety guarantee or background check unless Scoutletic expressly states otherwise for a specific verification program.
5. Harassment, Bullying and Threats
Do not bully, stalk, intimidate, threaten, blackmail, sexually harass, repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, or encourage others to target a person. Credible threats or immediate safety risks may be referred to appropriate authorities.
6. Hate and Dehumanizing Conduct
Do not attack, threaten or dehumanize people based on protected characteristics under applicable law. Scoutletic may remove content or accounts that create a hostile or unsafe environment.
7. Fraud, Impersonation and Deceptive Recruiting
Do not impersonate athletes, parents, scouts, coaches, agents, managers, teams, schools, leagues or organizations. Do not fabricate credentials, employment, team affiliation, scholarships, contracts, tryouts or recruitment opportunities.
Do not use Scoutletic to solicit money through deceptive recruiting, scholarship, representation or travel schemes.
8. Privacy and Personal Information
Do not post or solicit another person's sensitive personal information without authorization. Extra care is required for minors.
Do not publicly disclose a minor's home address, precise real-time location, private phone number, private email address, school schedule, government identifier, financial information, passwords or other information that could reasonably create a safety risk.
9. Sexual, Violent and Illegal Content
Pornographic content, sexual content involving minors, CSAM, graphic exploitation, credible threats, content facilitating serious illegal conduct and other content that creates an unacceptable safety risk are prohibited. Incidental mature content may be restricted or removed, especially where minors may access it.
10. Photos, Videos and YouTube Links
Users may post permitted photos and links to YouTube highlights or other supported media. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to share the material and that it complies with these standards.
Do not post or link to sexualized content involving minors, hidden-camera content, content exposing sensitive personal information, content used to harass someone, or material that infringes another person's rights. Scoutletic may remove or disable links even when the underlying content is hosted elsewhere.
11. Spam and Platform Abuse
Do not send bulk unsolicited messages, scrape user data, create fake accounts, manipulate engagement, distribute malware, bypass safety controls or use automation in a manner Scoutletic has not authorized.
12. Advertising Standards and Advertising Safety
Advertisements and sponsored content must be lawful, accurate and appropriate for the audience. Ads must not exploit minors, contain sexualized depictions of minors, promote deceptive recruiting or scholarship claims, encourage unsafe behavior, or collect sensitive information from minors inappropriately.
Scoutletic reviews advertisements before approval. Users and parents should independently evaluate advertisers, offers, camps, tryouts, recruiting opportunities, products and external websites before participating or providing personal information. Advertisers may not use Scoutletic to promote unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, exploitative, unsafe or age-inappropriate products, services or activities.
Scoutletic administrators may reject, suspend or remove any advertisement that violates policy, creates a legal, safety, reputational or policy risk, or is otherwise inappropriate for the Scoutletic community. Advertisers do not receive a right to contact minors outside the normal Scoutletic permissions merely because they advertise on the platform.
Suspicious or inappropriate advertisements can be reported to safety@scoutletic.com. Additional advertiser rules are described in the Scoutletic Advertising Terms.
13. Report and Block
Users can report a profile, message, media item or other content that violates these standards and can block abusive users where the relevant social feature allows user interaction.

14. Enforcement
Scoutletic may investigate suspected violations and may use automated detection and authorized human review. Depending on severity, Scoutletic may remove content, restrict visibility or messaging, revoke verification, warn a user, suspend or terminate an account, preserve evidence or refer a matter to appropriate authorities.
Scoutletic is not required to use progressive discipline. Serious safety violations may result in immediate permanent removal.
